Inform the Bank - You can ensure that your genuine international transactions using HDFC Bank cards are not declined by following the simple steps. Through HDFC Bank NetBanking: 1. Go to the NetBanking page https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/ and enter your customer ID and password 2. Select the “Credit Card” section, 3. Expand and choose your credit card, 4. In “International Travel”, click on the “Manage” link, 5. Provide your emergency contact details in India, name of the destination country, from and to dates, and destination country contact number, 6. In case of multi-country travel, add “destination” and required details, 7. Click on “Confirm” |
How to enable international card controls | If you are travelling overseas, chances are that your Credit Card will not be of any use anyway. Surprised? That’s because all Credit Cards are, by default, deactivated for international use. So, the first thing that you need to do before embarking on a foreign trip is to activate international transactions on your credit card! There are seversal ways through which you can enable your International transaction:- NetBanking 1. Go to the NetBanking page https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/ and enter your customer ID and password, 2. Go to the “Credit Card” section and expand it, 3. Choose your credit card appearing in this section, 4. Click on the “Customise” button appearing next to the “Limits and Restrictions” section, 5. Change “International Usage” from Off to On, 6. Choose the channel where the confirmation OTP will be sent (phone, email or both), 7. Provide the OTP to confirm the update. MyCards MyCards is HDFC Bank’s one-stop shop for managing your Credit Card. 1. Log in to https://mycards.hdfcbank.com/ through your registered mobile number. 2. Once you enter the OTP received on your mobile, enter the last four digits of your credit card 3. On Credit Card Homepage, click on Card Control tab 4. Check your “International Usage”, 5. You can turn it On and tap the “Update” button at the bottom of the page, 6. You will need to provide an OTP to authenticate the update. EVA 1. You will find the options of “ATM Withdrawal Transactions”, “Online E-Commerce Transactions”, “Merchant Outlet POS Transaction”, and “Contactless Transactions” 7.
