    Activate International Usage

    Steps:
    • Login to Mycards using your registered mobile number & Select card
    • Go to International usage and enable Online Spends / Merchant Spends/ TAP&PAY/ ATM and click on "Update"
    • Enter OTP received on registered mobile number to enable International card usage.

    • In “International Travel”, click “Manage”
    • Provide your Destination country, from and to dates, alternative international contact number.
    • In case of multi-country travel, add “destination” and required details.

    Step-by-step Guide to Activate International Transactions

    If you hold an HDFC Bank Credit Card, you can activate the card for international use in a variety of different ways.

    MyCards - MyCards is HDFC Bank’s one-stop shop for managing your Credit Card. It is a mobile-based service platform where you can log in through your registered mobile number. You can click here to go to MyCards.

    • Once you enter the OTP received on your mobile, you can enter the last four digits of your credit card and check your “International Usage”,
    • It is likely to be turned Off,
    • You can turn it On and tap the “Update” button at the bottom of the page,
    • You will need to provide an OTP to authenticate the update.
       

    NetBanking Any existing HDFC Bank customer will be all too familiar with NetBanking. You can also activate your credit card for international use here.

    • Go to the NetBanking page and enter your customer ID and password,
    • Go to the “Credit Card” section and expand it,
    • Choose your credit card appearing in this section,
    • Click on the “Customise” button appearing next to the “Limits and Restrictions” section,
    • Change “International Usage” from Off to On,
    • Choose the channel where the confirmation OTP will be sent (phone, email or both),
    • Provide the OTP to confirm the update.
       

    EVA - You will find EVA, HDFC Bank’s digital assistant, on your mobile app as well as HDFC Bank website. Click here

    • Enter your registered mobile number,
    • Enter the OTP received on the mobile number,
    • EVA will ask for the last four digits of your credit card,
    • You will find the options of “International Transactions”, “ATM Withdrawal Transactions”,
    • “Online E-Commerce Transactions”, “Merchant Outlet POS Transaction”, and “Contactless Transactions”,
    • Enable these transactions and click on Proceed to confirm the update.
       

    WhatsApp - HDFC Bank is also available on WhatsApp. All you need to do is to open Chat Banking with +917070022222 on WhatsApp

    • Enter the last four digits of your credit card number,
    • Choose the “International Limits” option,
    • You can enable the channels you want as active during your overseas stay, viz. “ATM cash withdrawals”, “Online (E-commerce)”, “Merchant Outlet (POS)” and “ContactLess (TAP)”,
    • You can also enter the desired transaction limit in multiples of Rs 1,000,
    • Provide OTP received on your registered mobile number to confirm the update.
       

    Mobile Banking To change your HDFC Bank Credit Card’s international usage status, you can also log in to your HDFC Bank Mobile Banking app using your PIN or touch ID.

    • Tap on “Menu”, and select “Cards” in the “Pay” option,
    • Choose your credit card,
    • Expand the panel by tapping on “Show More”,
    • Tap on the “Customise” button next to “Limits and Restrictions”,
    • If your card’s “International Usage” is turned off, you have to turn it on,
    • Choose SMS, email or both as the channel to receive the OTP,
    • Enter the OTP to authenticate the update.
       

     

     

    Step-by-step Guide to Update Travel Plan

    Through HDFC Bank NetBanking:
     

    • In your NetBanking profile, select the “Credit Card” section,
    • Expand and choose your Credit Card,
    • In “International Travel”, click on the “Manage” link,
    • Provide your emergency contact details in India, name of the destination country, from and to dates, and destination country contact number,
    • In case of multi-country travel, add “destination” and required details,
    • Click on “Confirm”.
       

    Through HDFC Bank Mobile Banking:
     

    • Login to HDFC Bank Mobile Banking app using your PIN or touch ID,
    • Tap on “Menu”,
    • Under “Pay”, select “Cards”, and then choose your card,
    • Tap on “Show More” to expand the panel,
    • In “International Travel”, tap on the “Manage” link,
    • Provide your emergency contact details in India, name of the destination country, from and to dates, and destination country contact number,
    • In case of multi-country travel, add “destination” and required details,
    • Tap on “Confirm”

    • HDFC Bank shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever if customers transaction fails due to technical issue.
    • HDFC Bank reserves the right to disqualify/ exclude any merchant establishment and/or Cardholder/s from the Program if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the Program or otherwise by use of the Card.
    • This Information shall be subject to all applicable laws, rules and regulations which are in existence and which may be promulgated anytime by any statutory authority.
    • HDFC Bank reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
    • Above Information is applicable across HDFC Bank Credit Card Variants and nothing contained herein shall prejudice or affect the terms and conditions of the card member agreement.
